Biography:

Professor Feigin is an internationally recognized expert in stroke and traumatic brain injury epidemiology, prevention and management. He has published over 390 research articles in leading international and local medical journals (including 21 papers in The Lancet and The Lancet Neurology), and eleven stroke handbooks and twelve book chapters. Professor Feigin currently leads the Stroke Experts Panel of the Global Burden of Disease Project that contributes data to the World Health Organization (WHO) regular reports distributed all over the world. His recent publications on stroke and traumatic brain injury burden published in The Lancet have received worldwide attention and have been reflected in a number of national and international media reports. He is also a Director of the Board of Directors of the World Stroke Organization, Chair of the Global Burden of Disease Neurology Section, and a member of the Advisory Working Group on Stroke for the WHO ICD-11 version. He is an Editor-in-Chief of the journal Neuroepidemiology (impact factor 2.4) and a member of the Editorial Boards of 10 international medical journals.
