Before joining AUT in 2012, Patrick Conor had wide experience with materials engineering development and applications in ships, aircraft and land vehicles. His work has involved the analysis and rectification of engineering defects and failures in structures, propulsion systems, and mechanical systems caused by factors such as metal fatigue, corrosion, wear, adhesion failure and polymer degradation.
